The sun in spring is very shy,
He hides when any clouds pass by.
But when the birds begin to sing,
And the bluebells of the forest ring,
The sun peeks out and smiles around
To welcome Spring without a sound.
Spring is coming, spring is coming, (Sing and walk in a circle; the children know
birdies build your nests. the movements and can teach you.)
Weave together straw and feather,
doing each your best.
Spring is coming, spring is coming,
flowers are waking too.
Daisies, lilies, daffodillies,
all are coming through.
Spring is coming, Spring is coming,
all around is fair.
Shiver, quiver, on the river
joy is everywhere!
Buzz, buzz, buzz…
What do you suppose,
A bee came and sat on my nose!
Then what do you think,
He gave me a wink!
And said “I beg your pardon,
I thought you were the garden.”
Buzz, buzz, buzz...
And off he flew away,
On this fine day!
