Together, parent and teachers found, develop, and sustain Waldorf schools around the world. Essentially, teachers have the responsibility to guide the incarnation of the child, and parents have the responsibility to incarnate the school. Therefore, a partnership between the parents and teachers must be alive and effective in a way that parents experience themselves as stakeholders and carriers of the school’s development to ensure the social and financial vitality of the school. This partnership culture must be developed to help our school grow as a community of body, soul, and spirit. Like most Waldorf schools, CSWS has three decision-making bodies -- the Board of Trustees, the College of Teachers and the Parent Guild Steering Committee.
The Governance Model for CSWS is portrayed below. This model takes a community approach that is cooperatively based rather than hierarchical. This allows the work of each sphere to be identified and cultivated appropriately for the good of the whole.
